Description
One would be forgiven to think that Coral Brine is not a solid man at all. His hair looks like sections of gently flowing white-crested waves, and his skin seems to consist of ripples of calm water on a sunny coastline. Even his eyes appear closer to those of a squid than a man. But Coral is just a mortal genasi who has been blessed greatly by elemental water. His body, skinny as it is, is solid (if slightly humid to the touch) and warm (if slightly less so than others), and his sight is barely different from that of a land elf.
When on land, he does however struggle with carrying his own weight, and has to use a cane when walking more than a few steps at a time.
Coral prefers sparse clothing (really he prefers none, but there are considerations of protection and cultural standards) and always carries a bottle filled with water.
Personality
He is a kind and cheerful man who makes friends easily. Coral loves to travel and experience new things, and is quite patient and open-minded as a result, but sometimes a bit restless and reckless. (Though his divination skills can compensate for the latter.)
Biography
Summary
Coral left his home when he was barely a man to travel the world, and eventually ended up on one of the flaships of The High Queen's Company or Veridia.
Early Life
He was born in a sea elf city in the north that guards a portal to the elemental plane of water. His father wished for a child, a wish fulfilled by a Marid who had grown fond of the elf. Coral has only met his 'mother' a handful of times, happily growing up with his father until he came of age and, driven by a deep curiousity for the world, set out to travel.
Traveling
Hiring himself out as a seer to whatever ships could carry him far, Coral traveled for many years across many nations. The open sea is his favourite of course, but he also trekked along many coasts and islands, enjoying the many neww environments, creatures and people he came across. Not long into his journeys, he started keeping a journal, which soon became an artistic exercise in its own right.
The Ruby Star
During one of his trips across the North Sea, the ship Coral was one was ambushed by what he first assumed to be pirates. However, it became very quickly apparent that the attackers were not there to plunder, but to retrieve artworks that had indeed been plundered from them during an era of occupation. Curious, Coral requested a meeting with their Captain to hear more about their plight. Her story moved him greatly, and he decided to offer his aid as a seer to their cause, at least for a time. An offer accepted easily, as his own home was too far and too insulated to have had any probably involvement in Viridia's history.
And so Coral became the seer of the Ruby Star, one of only a handful of non-Viridians aboard.
Current
Even though several years have passed, Coral is still content aboard the Ruby Star. The ship travels well enough for his needs, and he has made many friends and believes in their cause more than ever.

Abilities
As a seer, Coral's focus lies in reading nature and magic both to catch glimpses of the future or slightly change the skein of fate. Additionally, he commands a swarm of fey spirits who manifest as albino rats and support him both in his divinations and his physical tasks.
Powers- Divination: he can foresee events and tendencies in the near future, both through use of divine magic and through keen observation. This ability also allows him to steer fate to a degree, to support his allies or disadvantage his foes.
- The Swarm: his swarm of rats accompanies him wherever he goes, serving as eyes and ears, as allies in combat, as aides in every day tasks, and also as pets and entertainment to the crew.
- Healing: his divine powers allow him to heal wounds and illness with a gentle touch or word
- Insight: Coral observes his environment, people and events with greet keenness and wisdom.
- Swimming: in stark contrast to his weakness on land, in the water Coral is swift and agile and full of energy.
- Physical: his closeness to elemental water leaves his body less stable and solid than normal, which results in a notable lack of strength and stamina while on dry land.
