Still Abyss

Growing up as the only daughter of her village's bakers, Still Abyss was always a headstrong and fearless child, confident to raise her fists to any who bothered her. She used most of that strength to protect her best friend, a sensitive gentle boy named Towering Hound.
When Towering Hound's parents went missing during a hunting trip, Still Abyss' family adoped the boy without question, and the two grew up as siblings. As she grew older, Still Abyss showed an affinity for Thaumaturgy, and while Hound studied the blade, she studied how to beat up her enemies WITH FIRE.
As adults, the siblings struck out into the world on adventures, and soon after, Towering Hound fell into the role of hero and saviour. As the Warrior of Light, he has become the world's protector... and Still Abyss is, as ever, his.
She also has, during their long journey together, found deeper romantic companionship in a fierce xaela warrior named Sadu... and perhaps also in their gentle xeala friend Cirina.

Saintrelmaux Savigny

Born and raised in the upper echelons of Ishgard, Saintrelmaux is the only son of a very well-regarded family of chocobo breeders. He has grown up side by side with noble scions and wealthy merchants both, and has been a loyal and devoted Ishgardian for most of his life. From an early age, he was planned to one day be married to his closest childhood friend Alixe Catoire and take over the family business.
As a young man, he joined the Dragonsong War as a Dragoon, stationed with his unit in Lower Coerthas for a few years, and had to witness and partake in many terrible battles, which nurtured the first seeds of doubt in him. Later, he aided in several battles with the vaunted Warrior of Light, and learned unpleasant truths... and so he turned his back on Ishgard and all he had grown up believing in. Breaking his engagement and putting down his spear, he moved to Gridania to take up the staff of a healer instead.
Years later, he encountered a lone wanderer from the Far East, a xaela named Narangal, who was struggling to navigate Eorzean culture. Saintrelmaux, who had developed a habit of picking up strays, took it upon himself to care for and guide the mute man, and over time they developed great affection for each other, which culminated in Saintrelmaux returning to the xaela's home in the Azim Steppes with him.
He is now a wandering healer, spending his days traveling the wide grass planes with his partner.
In his 50 years of life, Saint has experienced much. While serving in the war he took a lover who later became a famed erotica author, he has unintended offspring with a noble he met before he left Ishgard (the children were adopted by Saint's parents and they believe him to be their much older brother still), he accompanied the Warrior of Light several times, he became an occasional employee for an Ul'dahn merchant, he reconciled with his ex who then became best friends with said merchant... really, he is quite happy to live a peaceful life with his favourite xaela in his favourite place now.
