Hjalti Pyaara

The Warrior of Light is Etheirys' greatest hope and most devoted errant boy.

Description

Hjalt is a tall Viera with brown skin and warm red hair and fur with fiery orange highlights. Playful freckles dot his cheeks and darkened nose, framed by soft tufts of fur on the sides of his face. His eyes are a pale gold under a double-set of long eyelashes.
His hair reaches just past his shoulders and is normally kept out of his face with a number of braids. Atop his head sits a pair of backward drooping slender soft ears.
Hjalti has the slender athletic build of a Viera, which hides extraordinary physical strength. His claws, which he paints in vibrant fiery golds, are the only outward sign of the ferocity he is capable of.

Personality

It would not be wrong to call Hjalti an explosive ray of sunshine. He is energetic, determined, selfless and curious; his sense of justice only overshadowed by his compassion. He loves to flirt, to play, to travel, to fight, to fuck, to dance, to eat... life and all it comes with is an adventure and a precious treasure both to Hjalti Pyaara, Warrior of Light.
That is not say he does not have his darker moments. A deep sense of shame is what originally drove him to Eorzea, a powerful regret for the many bad choices he made in his life that manifests in an urge to prove himself a changed and better man... and sometimes allows not even the smallest of mistakes or weakness. Especially after having realised the true extent of his strength and impact on the world around him, Hjalti sometimes drives himself to perfectionism and self-sacrifice.

Biography

Summary
Once a small-time ruffian, Hjalti's life changed dramatically when the Echo awoke in him and lead him on the path to becoming the saviour of his world and its shards besides.

Early Life
Hjalti grew up in Sisters' Nest, a Viera village in the jungles north of Radz-at-Han. Like all children of the village, he was offered to become a Warder of the jungle once he found his boyhood, but chose to follow his own path. Having fallen for a warrior that acccompanied the trading caravan regularly coming through his village, he instead desired to become a great warrior just like him.

Radz-at-Han
Hjalti saught out the warrior in Radz-at-Han to become his student in the art of the axe. This worked well for some years, but Hjalti's crush for his teacher never abated and he finally revealed his feelings. His teacher was deeply uncomfortable with this, and Hjalti, hurt by his reaction and still too young to process it, ran away to 'lead his own life'.

THe Gang
He fell in with a gang of robbers and thieves whose appreciation for his martial skills flattered his ego, and spent the next few years leading a carefree, wild life of small-time crime.

Awakening
During a robbery gone wrong, a small child was trapped in the burning building his gang intended to loot, and it was thanks to the Echo that Hjalti learned of it just in time to save the child. Shaken by his experience, which both deeply unnerved him and also showed him with clarity how far his life had fallen, as well as disoriented by an injury received during the rescue, he once more fled from his mistakes, this time onto a boat to Eorzea.

Solklahz and the Scions
Landing in Limsa Lominsa, a weakened and lost Hjalti came across Solklahz Haelundsyn, a gentle Scholar working at the customs guild. The roegadyn took it upon himself to get Hjalti situated and healed up and introduce him to the city. They quickly became friends, and when Hjalti decided to join the Adventurer's Guild, Solklahz joined him to lend his healing magicks. Together, they eventually ran into the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, who, recognising that Hjalti possesses the Echo, bid them join the group to defend Eorzea.

Current
Through many adventures and battles across many worlds, Hjalti has more than proven himself to no longer be a petty selfish crook. The Hero of Eorzea, the Sheperd to the Stars,

Relationships

Solklahz Haelundsyn
Hjalti's closest and dearest friend, without whom he would have never become the man he is today. Hjalti would kill a hundred gods for him. He wishes Solk would recognise his own strength and value more.

Urianger
After he joined the Scions, Hjalti and Urianger developed a deep affection for each other that soon blossomed into a romantic relationship. It lasted several years, but over time, Urianger's compulsive secret keeping created a rift between them. While it was not enough to end their friendship, their romance suffered, and when Urianger decided to remain on the moon with the Lopporit, they both welcomed the distance. Nowadays, they are still fast friends, but nothing else.

Estinien
Hjalti's good buddy with benefits. They enjoy sharing adventures, drinks, stories and casual sex, and neither would have it any other way.

Hjalti is a Warrior and Sage, the latter a distant memory of his original soul.
